Our Mission
Illuminating Potential in Every Family
Illuminate Studios is a family wellness studio founded in Ventura, California with a single belief: that families deserve a space designed for all of them — not just the kids, and not just the adults, but everyone together. We offer supervised enrichment programs and recreation programming for children, wellness classes for parents, and community events that bring neighborhoods closer.
Our children's programs — including Músicañol (a Spanish-language music workshop), LEGO Social Club, and seasonal Summer Camps — are built around creativity, curiosity, and real skill-building. Kids don't just have fun; they grow.

The Team
Built by Educators & Parents
Illuminate Studios was created by a team of educators, parents, and community advocates who saw a gap in Ventura's family wellness landscape. We bring together professionals from music, physical therapy, STEM education, and early childhood development — all united by a passion for meaningful enrichment.
Our head instructor, Paddy Sullivan, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language Studies on Latin American Music from Pitzer College and currently serves as a Professional Expert in Music for the Ventura Unified School District. Our wellness programs are led by Charisse Balance, DPT, RYT — a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pelvic floor health and chronic pain, with a 200-hour yoga certification.
We are proud to be a Ventura-based, family-run studio dedicated to showing up for our community — one class, one session, and one family at a time.
