Dr. Charisse Balance
PT, DPT, RYT · Certified Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner
Dr. Charisse Balance, PT, DPT, RYT, is a mama, yogini, and physical therapist specializing in holistic pelvic health and myofascial release. In 2015, she obtained her yoga certification (RYT-200) and later completed specializations in Restorative, Yin, and Prenatal Yoga. She continues to teach anatomy, prenatal, and restorative yoga in various yoga teacher training programs in the Bay Area.
She has extensive training and personal experience with John Barnes Myofascial Release and has studied the art of postpartum Ayurvedic care. Wanting to facilitate ease for herself during pregnancy, labor, and birth, she became a certified Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner.
Charisse is passionate about supporting individuals through the preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum stages of life. She utilizes an evidence-based treatment approach and incorporates intuitive and holistic practices. Her goal is to educate people about their bodies to maximize confidence in their physical abilities and minimize injury — promoting empowerment through knowledge and fostering community through connection.
