Socialization &
Recreation with Music
An inclusive music and movement program for children and adults of all abilities. Designed for Regional Center participants and open to community members who want to join an integrated, supportive group.
About the Program
How the Program Works
This class uses music, movement, rhythm, and group interaction to help participants practice socialization skills in a fun, supportive environment. It's organized like a karate belt system, where each level builds confidence, communication, and peer interaction at a pace that meets each person where they are.
Designed primarily for individuals receiving Regional Center services, the program also welcomes community participants to create an integrated, inclusive group experience. Each level focuses on a specific set of skills: from basic greetings and listening to peer interaction, communication, and group participation. All activities are adapted to support a wide range of abilities, communication styles, and support needs.
